Alastair DavidsonAlastair Davidson was born in Aberdeen in 1951. He was educated at Cornhill Primary School, Aberdeen Academy and Aberdeen University. His apprenticeship was carried out in Aberdeen with the then firm of C & P H Chalmers and he moved to Paisley in 1975 to get married. He joined the firm of T.F.Reid &Donaldson in 1975 and was made a partner two years later. Alastair is the Senior Conveyancing Partner in the firm and he specializes in private client business, particularly residential conveyancing. Alastair was a past Dean of the local solicitors' faculty - the Faculty of Procurators in Paisley. Alastair has been married to Phyllis since 1975 and his son was born in 1991. His interests outside the office are hill walking, golf, holidaying in Scotland and watching his son play for a local boys club, Gleniffer Thistle.

Allan RankinAllan Rankin is 48. He was educated at Hutchesons' Grammar School and graduated from Glasgow University in 1974. He deals with a wide variety of work but specializes in commercial and business matters. A keen sportsman, Allan is now one of the oldest and slowest prop forwards in Scotland and a bad but enthusiastic golfer.

Marianne MairMarianne Mair was educated at Glasgow University. She joined T.F.Reid & Donaldson in 1985. She specializes in domestic and commercial conveyancing. Her interests include history, skiing and gardening.

Gordon MacleodGordon Macleod is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. He trained in Glasgow and spent several years in practice there before joining T.F.Reid & Donaldson in 1998. He is the most recently assumed partner specializing in commercial property law and also deals with residential property. Gordon is 34. He is married and in his spare time he enjoys golf, reading about current affairs, gardening and going to the theatre.

Graham FordyceGraham was born in 1958, and is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde. He has been in practice now for over 20 years, concentrating his career in Civil Court Work, with a particular emphasis on Family Law. He is a member of the Family Law Association, and in 2004 underwent training in the field of Collaborative Family Law, a concept which has taken hold in the USA and Canada. Graham is married to Liz and they have one son. In his spare time he enjoys swimming, walking and growing old gracefully.

Doris NisbetDoris Nisbet has been with T.F.Reid & Donaldson for over 25 years. She has extensive paralegal experience, specializing in executry work, and keeps up to date with developments in this area by regular attendance at seminars and conferences. What gives her particular satisfaction is giving sympathetic and professional help to people in difficult times. Doris's interests include reading, cinema and music.

Jennifer StephenJennifer Stephen is 30. She was educated at Glasgow Caledonian University, where she took a BA in law and administrative studies. She has been with us since 1998. While with us she completed a paralegal course in conveyancing at Strathclyde University. She is closely involved in all aspects of domestic conveyancing transactions, particularly at the post missives stage, and drives the transaction through to settlement, dealing directly with her clients and keeping them fully informed. Her interests include running, cycling and the gym plus collecting teddy bears.

Ursula BrookmireUrsula Brookmire has been with T.F.Reid & Donaldson since April 1992. She has taken and passed courses in conveyancing at Paisley University. As a paralegal she works in domestic conveyancing. At present the firm is updating its computer system with Case Management and she is in the process of designing and setting up Case Management in relation to conveyancing. Case Management will deal with the more routine conveyancing matters in step by step manner and streamline the procedures that are required. Ursula's hobbies are reading, going to the cinema and the gym. |

Walter ReidWalter Reid was educated at Oxford and Edinburgh Universities and trained
in Edinburgh where he was in partnership until joining T.F. Reid &
Donaldson in 1969. He was Senior Partner of the firm and tends to specialize
in commercial and business matters, particularly commercial property,
but retains an interest in private client business. He is currently
a Member of the Council of the Society of Writers to Her Majesty's Signet,
the oldest body of solicitors in Europe. |
